How to make Aloo / Potato fry recipe
Preparation
- Cut potatoes into small pieces and rinse potato pieces 3-4 times until starch leaves from the potato pieces.
- Add potato pieces into the water and keep it aside for cooking
Making Potato fry
- Heat pan and add 2 tbsp oil to the pan. add all tadka ingredients(Red chili, channa dal, urad dal, cumin, mustard seeds) fry until light golden brown
- Add curry leafs and fry until curry leaves splitters then add crushed garlic and fry for 1 min or light golden brown.
- Add potato pieces into the pan and add salt and turmeric and saute until potato pieces cooked.
- Add red chili powder, coriander powder and fry until potato pieces are light golden brown
- Garnish Potato fry with coriander leaves and serve hot with dal rice or sambar rice.

- 1 lb Potato's or 3-4 potato's
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 5-6 Garlic pods crushed
- 1 ½ tsp Red chilli powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Salt adjust to taste
Tadka Ingredients
- ½ tsp Mustard seeds
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Channa dal
- 1 tsp Urad dal
- 1 Dry red chili
- 1 Sprig curry leaves
