Chilli Garlic Paneer is a quick and delicious starter that you can prepare in a quick time. Chilli garlic paneer is prepared by tossing paneer with Kashmiri red chili powder, turmeric, salt, and then sautéed with onions, bell peppers, and tomato.
This recipe can be prepared as an evening snack or side dish for flavored rice recipes like Coconut milk pulao, fried rice, or noodles. Chilli Garlic Paneer is the go-to recipe for potlucks or small parties.
The flavor of garlic is the key ingredient for this recipe. Initially, I thought my kids will not like this as I added garlic but to my surprise, they loved it very much and asked to make it again.

I am sharing a semi-dry version of this recipe. It has a little gravy and you can serve it as an appetizer or even as a main course.
How to make Chilli Garlic Paneer
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan, add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, paneer cubes and saute until light golden brown. Remove fried paneer from the pan and keep aside.
- Same pan add 1 tbsp of oil and then add chopped garlic, red chillies, finely chopped green chillies and curry leaves and saute 2 mins.
- Add onion and capsicum cubes to the pan and saute until onions are transparent, then add tomato cubes and saute 2-3mins.
- Add garam masala powder and saute until tomato’s are light mushy
- Add fried paneer cubes and saute 4-5 mins until all masala coats to the paneer.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
Chilli Garlic Paneer Home style
Ingredients
- 300 grams Paneer, cubes
- 1 Capsicum or Bell pepper
- 1 Onion
- 1 Tomato
- 4 Red chillies
- 2 Green chilies, chopped
- 8 Garlic pods, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp Red chill powder
- ½ tsp Turmeric
- 2 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Garam Masala
- 1 Sprig Curry leaves
- 1 tbsp Spring onions
- 3 tbsp Coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
