What is badam milk?
Badam milk is an Indian flavored drink where almonds are blended with milk and flavored with cardamom and saffron.
Badam milk always served during weddings, special occasions, parties. It’s a very delicious drink but at the same time it’s also very rich both in texture and also in calories.
How to make Badam milk
- Soak almonds in a water for 2 hours (for quick results soak almonds in a hot water for 30mins)
- Remove the skin of almonds and add them in a blender along with 1/2 cup of milk. Grind them to make a smooth paste.
- Heat heavy bottom pan and add 1⁄4 cup water. Once the water begins to steam or boil, pour the milk into the pot.
- When the milk comes to a boil, add almond paste and sugar in the milk. Simmer the heat and let it cook for 10-15 minutes.
- Add Saffron and cardamom powder and cook for another minute.
- Badam milk recipe is ready. Serve the badam milk hot or cold.
Tips
- Soak the almonds in enough water at least 2-3 hours.
- Make a smooth paste of almonds to make badam milk. This make milk rich and smooth texture.
- Refrigerate at least 2-4 hours for best results if you prefer to drink cold.

Ingredients
- ½ cup Almonds or Badam
- 500 ml Milk or 2 cups + 1/2 cup extra to grinding Almond paste
- ¼ cup Sugar
- 1 pinch Saffron stands
- ¼ tsp Cardamom powder or (3 pods)
