What is Keema?
Keema is minced meat (mutton or chicken) cooked with onions, tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste, and whole spices. I cook mutton keema with minimum spices or masala to retain the original mutton flavor. Please adjust the masala powder to suit your taste.
I prefer little gravy consistency. However you can adjust the consistency by adding less or more water while cooking.
How to make Mutton Keema
- Start the pressure cooker in SAUTE mode and heat oil in it.
- Add onions, salt and saute for 2 minutes.
- Put ginger garlic paste, curry leafs and saute until the raw smell is gone.
- Add coriander powder, chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric and saute for 1 minutes.
- Put chopped tomato to the pan and fry until tomatoes turn mushy.
